Our Story
Receiptor AI was born from the personal frustration of its founder, who struggled with the tedious and time-consuming process of managing business receipts and invoices. As the owner of a software development agency, Romeo found himself spending countless hours manually searching through emails, organizing financial documents, and dreading tax season.
In March 2023, leveraging his background in software engineering, Romeo began developing an AI-powered tool to automatically scan emails, identify financial documents, and integrate with accounting software. After a few months of intense work, he created a prototype that could extract and organize financial documents in minutes - a task that previously took days.
By August 2023, Luigi and Romeo launched Receiptor AI with a mission to revolutionize how businesses handle their finances. Today, Receiptor AI has processed over 550,000 receipts and invoices from 7.2 million emails, WhatsApp messages, and uploads. We continue to expand our capabilities, driven by the belief that technology can transform how small businesses manage their financial documentation.
